Observance of Independence Day 2017

Celebrated 71st Independence Day on August 15, 2017 organised by Haldia Government College in association with NCC and NSS wings. All Teaching, Non-teaching staff, NCC cadet and NSS volunteers actively participated in the program.

Cleanliness Campaign Drive: Swachhta Pakhwara

The drive was organizes by the NSS wings of our college from 01.08.17 to 15.08.17 as a plan program i.e. Swachhta Pakhwara. Rallies, discussions were also organized to spread awareness for a neat and clean locality besides cleaning the college campus and the area adjacent to the college premises.

Tree plantation to observe Aranya Saptaha

Aranya Saptaha was observed in our college August 02, 2017 and our NSS volunteers with great enthusiasm planted the trees inside the bamboo fence beside our college main building. Trees collected from Forest Department, Haldia. Few trees have been distributed among our active NSS volunteers for plantation in their respective household.

Observation of World Water Day 2017

On 22^nd March, in the second half, the NSS units organized a seminar on World Water Day. We the Programme Officers deliver speech on this year’s theme i.e. “Why Waste Water?” and the day also focuses on advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.

NSS units of Haldia Government College organised a Winter Special Camp on Health, Sanitation and Pollution at Bandar Basti and Chiranjibpur Basti, Haldia during February 27, 2017 – March 5, 2017.

Campaign for Digital Transaction under VISAKA

Awareness Programme on Digital Transaction

NSS Volunteers, Program officers, Teaching and Non-teaching staff actively participated in a rally to the nearest market places (City Centre, Haldia) to spread awareness on Digital Transaction organised by NCC and NSS units of Haldia Govt. College. We also surveyed a questionnaire on the problems and prospect of digital transaction after demonetization.

Participation at National Integration Camp

Participation at National Integration Camp, BIT, Mesra, Ranchi: Ten volunteers (five from Unit 1 and five from Unit II) under the supervision of Programme Officer, Dr. Tithi Bose represented West Bengal at the National Integration Camp Ranchi from 14-20 December, 2016. Performance of the volunteers was appreciated there.
